The IT Loafers For Fall

Loafers have been a popular shoe for a couple of seasons now, but the way we are seeing them this fall is different. Yes, the chunky loafer is still in. Do not throw out your chunky prada loafers because all of a sudden they are out, but we are definitely seeing a more slimmed out statement loafer this fall.

What I consider the IT shoe this fall is a two tone penny loafer. I have been seeing these shoes everywhere. Not just on the shelves of department stores but all over Pinterest and the streets of SOHO. The most typical color combination is a classic white and brown contrast. I just bought a pair of these loafers and I am already obsessed. These are the perfect all year shoes, but they are especially perfect for fall. The color combination is perfectly autumnal, and everytime I put them on I want to go get a pumpkin spice chai latte. They go with pretty much everything because brown and white are so neutral. I already find myself wearing them more than my chunky black loafers.

If you walk into a department store, the first of these brown and white two tone designer loafers you will find are probably from either Celine or Miu Miu. Both of these styles are very cute. The Celine pair is a lighter brown and features a logo charm, while the Miu Mius are a darker brown and feature the signature coin associated with a penny loafer. Cole Haan makes a really cute pair of brown and white two tone loafers that are on Zappos for $99.00. Steve Madden makes a pair of black and white penny loafers also for $99.00. One of the most interesting ways I’ve seen this trend done is the Stuart Weitzman x Kidsuper SOHO Loafer. The SOHO loafer is a red, white, blue, and black loafer with art on the front of the shoe. They are a more out of the ordinary take on the new multicolor loafer trend. They are currently 63% off on the Stuart Weitzman outlet website.

The multi-color loafer trend is coming in big, and it is definitely one of the cuter shoe trends I’ve seen in a while. I will always choose a loafer over, almost, any other shoe because they are so functional. I love that more functional shoes, like loafers, kitten heels, and ballet flats, are staying in this season because at the end of the day fashion should also be functional.
