The Most Versatile Shoe: Cowboy Boots

Here’s the deal. I like shoes. Like I REALLY like shoes. So, I own a fair number of shoes, but out of all the shoes in my closet the ones I wear most are my cowboy boots. No matter what I am wearing, I find it looks good with my cowboy boots. Heck, I love these shoes so much that I might have worn them to prom had they been tall enough for my dress. These shoes are my absolute holy grail when it comes to styling. I love them so much that I lugged them all the way to Europe. The schlep was totally worth it because they are the most versatile shoe possibly in existence.

The reason why these boots are so amazing is not just that they can be dressed up and down, but they can be worn all year round. Whenever you are in a place with uncertain weather cowboy boots are a must because they can be worn in eighty degrees or eighteen degrees.

My favorite pair of cowboy boots are from Steve Madden and they are an off-white color. This color can be worn year round and I have certainly made use of them since I got them six months ago.

Here are some ways that I love styling Cowboy Boots:

  1. With a long skirt

I most recently styled my cowboy boots with my Katz Sunburst Pleated Maxi Skirt from Alice and Olivia(which is currently 75% off on their website). The pattern of this skirt is very whimsical, so the Cowboy Boots went along really well with the fun vibe. I paired the skirt with a white ribbed tank top from Amazon. Trust me, I have never gotten so many compliments on an outfit. The boots will look good with any maxi or midi skirt, but if you are looking for really high quality ones I would go check out the Alice and Olivia summer sale.

  1. With a mini skirt

There’s no denying that mini skirts are kinda out right now, but if you are an Upper East Side girly still hanging on to your LoveShackFancy minis this is a great way to style them. An LSF mini skirt, with a baby tee, and some cowboy boots would definitely be perfect lunch in The Hamptons attire.

  1. With anything tweed

Now you are going to think I am crazy for a second, but this is my absolute favorite way to style my cowboy boots. The most  common way that I’ve been styling this look has been pairing my Steve Maddens with the Chrisida Dress from Amanda Uprichard and a long sleeve turtleneck white t-shirt. This is such a cute look, but I will admit that come October I may need to find a new outfit so I don’t freeze. Right now, I have my eye on the Shiloh Romper from Alice and Olivia’s new collection. I think this will be the perfect piece to pair with your boots so you can stay warm and look cute as heck.

  1. A black lace dress

Remember when I said that cowboy boots could be dressed up or down, well this is what I meant. I was skeptical about this look at first, but after trying it out I am totally in love. It doesn’t lessen the formality of the look, but it does make it more fun and whimsical. So, the next time you whip out your favorite little black dress, leave your pumps at home and pop on a pair if cowboy boots. You’ll still look totally hot, and I promise your feet will thank me later.
